A young, calm, and respectful family in Western Springs is seeking a reliable, long-term nanny to care for their three young children, including a child with level 1 autism (5yo, 3yo, and 9 month) to start March 2nd, 2026. This role focuses on providing attentive supervision, supporting emotional regulation and developmental growth, and engaging children in age-appropriate play, learning, and daily routines. Mom works from home but remains in a separate office, with daily family lunch time.

Schedule:  Monday-Thursday, 8:30-3:30pm, Friday 8:30-1:30pm (schedule to change depending on children’s school needs). 30-33 guaranteed hours a week.

Nanny duties: Supervise children at all times, prioritizing their safety. Support emotional regulation, social skills, and independence. Support special needs child (level 1 autism) Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, creative activities, and reading. Provide daily updates on moods, meals, naps, and activities. Notify parents of any safety, health, or behavioral concerns. Assist with naps, diapering/potty, dressing, hygiene, and transitions. Safely drive children to/from school, activities, or playdates using the family car.

Household duties:  Wash and put away dishes and bottles; load/unload dishwasher. Light kitchen clean-up and tidying of children’s areas and their rooms. Do children’s laundry as needed. Clean and organize play areas/rooms. Communicate when restocks are needed of essential supplies.

The ideal candidate is patient, calm, communicative, and experienced with infants, toddlers, and has some experience in children with special needs, or has a family member with special needs. Must be okay caring for multiple children at a time.

This position is approximately 30–33 hours per week, offering $30-35/hr per hour.
